Merry Christmas!

December 25th, 2009 at 9:18 am

Do you remember watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss as a child? By stealing all the presents, trees, and decorations from the Whoos in Whoville, the Grinch hoped to end their joyous spirit of the Christmas season. Little did he know, they did not find joy in Christmas for the material items, but in something much bigger. When all the gifts, decorations, and things of Whoville were stripped away, it had no effect on their Christmas spirit. Ask yourself this question: If all your material items, gifts, and presents were taken, would you still find the joy of Christmas in your heart? Remember, through all the wrapping paper, bows, and ribbons it is the one and only gift that can not be wrapped that matters…The gift of Jesus Christ! As you mutter the words “Merry Christmas”, don’t forget their true meaning.

Wow, I am impressed with this snowfall…Almost 16 inches on our back porch. I just finished digging a path out for our dogs so they could use the bathroom. Aren’t they cute in their matching vests!
